If it weren't for Sylphie, the whole family likely would have been torn apart! This was honestly a great story! I can't wait for more!

SYLPHIE SAVES THE FAMILY! - Jobless Reincarnation 2x24

Comments

it took me a while to catch up, but I'm glad I was able to by the final episode lol, I really loved this season honestly, there's so many Isekai were everything just goes too smoothly, were the main character is just super strong and generic with a harem, but Jobless Reincarnation actually does a good job at developing Rudy into a fully fleshed out character, I love his relationship with Sylphie, so I was worried what would happen with Roxy, but I'm glad it worked out. I really need to get the rest of the manga eventually, I can't wait for season 3.

I really like Norn's character, for a lot of the reasons you outlined.

I remember when this came out a lot of people said Norn was the audience insert. Voicing all the concerns and hangups people had about Rudy marrying Roxy and cheating on Sylphie. Honestly it would've been very poor writing on the author's part if everyone in the family had been accepting of the situation. Also Norn lived with her grandmother, Xenith's mother who is a hardcore believer in the Millis faith. Hell she lives in that faith's equivalent of the Vatican Millishion. My guess is she absorbed a lot of her grandmother's views on these sorts of things. Also yeah, Sylphie was never going to be the type to turn Roxy away. Yet somehow the writing makes it feel like, it's not due to any lack of self-confidence on her part. She doesn't come across as weak when she accepts Roxy, it doesn't come across as "My husband says so, so I just have to accept it." I mean she'd be well within her rights to leave Rudy. Personally I think she looked at it along the lines of Rudy having a big heart and lots of love to give.

What an episode. And I love Rudy mentioning how he feels he was a child acting like an adult because of past memories, and now he feels like he was always a separate person. That makes a lot of sense. Memories of another life don't just make you that person, I wouldn't think Oh, and I'm looking forward to kaguya. S3 is 13 episodes and then there's "the first kiss that never ends", which aired as a movie in jp but was brought to us as a 4 episode mini season. Good times ahead.
