Love's Heart Characters Koikatsu Style

Hello everyone!

In the post I made about the Love's Heart remake, I said I wasn’t interested in considering the use of the Koikatsu art style for the characters. Why? Because I feel the characters would be too different from their original versions, and Steam might allow me to publish the game on its platform only to later reject it, possibly considering the characters too childish. That’s why I decided to go for a Ren'Py remake using characters with a realistic art style.

However, lately I’ve been thinking a lot about Koikatsu's anime style. I personally like anime style and would love to make more games using it. But I can’t do it for two reasons: if I use VRoid for the art, the quality ends up not being great. And if I commission anime art from an artist, I’d have to spend a lot of money I don’t have—and I don’t know if I’d be able to earn it back. But if I used Koikatsu anime art, I could get good art for free. That would be a great solution. I could even use it for Love's Heart—not only to improve the original game with better-made characters and high-quality animated and voiced sex scenes, but it would also make the work easier and faster.

But what I’m saying now isn’t something I’ve decided to do yet—it’s just an idea I came up with, a possibility I’m considering. What do you all think? I’m sure you’ve played at least one hentai game with Koikatsu-style art. Do you like it? Would you like my game to go in that direction, redesigning all the characters and remaking all the sex scenes? Or do you think it’s a crazy idea and I should stick to VRoid art, even if it’s not as high quality?

To show you the result, I’ve designed a few characters: Haruna, Katsune, Fuyu, Yuri, and Kokoro. This is so you can compare these designs with the ones you already know from the original game. Just to be clear, I’m talking about the original game that you all know—not a different remake.
