The current state of Cashmere Sky (big announcements)

Dear Patrons,

I'm finally getting around to this as I've been procrastinating for a very long time since I wasn't sure what I was going to do yet. The video posted will contain everything I say here (and much more), but you are all the first to know.

I know I've been planning to launch the comic this summer, but due to the length of production, increased quality, etc... I haven't been knocking these pages down as fast as I'd like. By the end of August I will have 43 pages done, very close to the 45 I've said before. However, due to the nature of this, I'd feel much better putting in 5+ more pages, getting closer to 50, which will be pushing back the release to early fall, hopefully by Halloween. Keeping a healthy buffer gives readers that guarantee of a page every Friday for the next 2-3 years. The last thing I want is for the well to dry up. Make no mistake though, THE COMIC IS LAUNCHING THIS YEAR!

And now for the second part, and luckily this doesn't affect any of you. I've been thinking long and hard about this and know there will be some people left disappointed, but I promise that it's for a good reason. After talking with some trusted advisors regarding some exciting opportunities that I'll be exploring over the next 3-4 months, I found it best to not launch the comic publicly for now. However, for anyone that subscribes to my patreon channel, including ones that already are (all of you)... you get to read the comic. So... for as little as $1 a month, anyone can read it.

It took a lot of thought to come to this conclusion, but I logically found it to be the best decision. This does not mean Volume 2 will never be publicly available, though I just can't do it at this time. If that changes in the future, I will absolutely be making an announcement. So again, I know it may be a letdown for some, but I assure you all it is in the interest and success of this project.

Also as patrons, I've been seriously thinking about offering merch that I currently having sitting around for all the convention that have NOT been happening throughout this pandemic haha. I have high quality prints, stickers, bookmarks, etc. If this interests you, definitely let me know. I may be able to give special discounts to patrons as well.

Also, another thing I've been debating on is offering a small book order of Volume 1 if enough people want to pool together funds. This isn't a Kickstarter. This would be an internal special order offering. The more books that are ordered, the cheaper they get. However, the books will still be a little pricey to purchase (with shipping also) as a forewarning.

In short, there are delays, and Volume 2 will have a limited release for now. I'll be making more announcements about these decisions through the course of the year as developments happen.
