A birthday surprise :3
Added 2021-03-13 04:58:07 +0000 UTCA few weeks ago, my 8 year old niece texted me (yes she has a phone... for reasons) asking me to draw her and her brother (5 years old) as a cat. She's aware I make a lot of art and has asked me this many times over the last few months. So as me trying to be her cool uncle, I told her "I'll see what I can do."
This took me about 4 days of planning, producing, and tweaking, but then I realized I wanted to get this framed, but then I I was like.... shit.... that takes 1-2 weeks. So, I called my parents and invited myself over for free dinner as I ravaged their printer ink and photo paper for an early "pre-gift" for her birthday tomorrow.
It's going to be interesting tomorrow on what the reaction is. My mom freaked when she saw it (in a good way), but mom's always think their kids are cool lol (crying inside XD). As far as the comic, I barely got a rough sketched page done last night, but between work and everything else... this week has been tough. I'm going to pass out with a drink in my hand tonight haha.
Anyway, I guess this is how you convert the kids these days. 9 and 5 years old are ripe for uh... these interests. They're already HUGE Sonic and Tails fans.
Oh, and her birthday party is themed "legos and art." What's not to love? XD
