Some backend web updates
Added 2020-10-22 07:12:28 +0000 UTCAs some may or may not know, web design is sort of my trade. I recently ran an all new (and much more modern) backend on the comic section of the website since it has its own sub-domain. I kept everything roughly looking the same, but trimmed the fat, cleaned up the code, added more animations, more cross mobile / browser friendly, better security, faster, snappier, yadda yadda.
I plan to revamp the main Cashmere Sky website, but that will take a lot more time since I have much bigger ideas for it, also being a LOT of content. Considering the website is going on 5 years old with its current theme platform, it's long overdue for a fresh cleanup. I also plan to match it to the comic section for a seamless transition. It's improved from these updates, but will be perfect once the main site is done.
Only thing I haven't been able to do so far is make the images tap on mobile to go to the next page. I've been asked, but MangaPress (what I use) is a PAIN. Unfortunately, comic wordpress plugins aren't in abundance and many are SUPER finnicky to begin with. My best luck has been with Mangapress to far. If I can find an improvement, I certainly will!
Anyway, I know this post isn't SUPER exciting, but it's progress! :D
