true, it's so sad that people feel pressured to change in a (semi?) permanent way based on trends.

I find cosmetic surgery is a double-edged sword. It's good for as long as the trend lasts. When the trend changes, they're out of luck. /r/botched on reddit shows many reasons not to do it.
