We knew he hated them because of the horrendous things they did to his sister, while he sadly had to, as he said it "From start to finish." But his hatred for them is so great that he's capable of going all Freddy Krueger just to kill more goblins in other people's dreams. That's pure hatred for the dam things. And good for him. Those fuckers deserve nothing but death in a horrible and painful way

2023-05-13 15:00:46 +0000 UTCYeah, the Goblins blinded (well partially blinded, she can see rough outlines, I think she'd be considered legally blind) the Sword Maiden. I guess just raping her wasn't enough, the bunch she ran into also had to torture her on top of it. Now they continue to torture her in the one place she can still see clearly, her dreams. I thought it was an incredibly interesting concept to have someone who defeated the Demon Lord. Who has all this power, magically, religiously, socially and financially. Have something she couldn't defeat, despite it being a "low-level" threat. Because like they say in the series, if she's so powerful why doesn't do something herself? Why hire a bunch of adventurers to do it? And this being Goblin Slayer, they manage to link it to pre-established lore. We've seen what Goblins are capable of. We know that even if the victims are rescued they usually either go back home or join the equivalent of a nunnery. Point is they are never the same. Here we have a rare case where she overcame her trauma and went on to defeat. What to most is the greatest source of evil in the land. But in other ways hasn't overcome it.
