This episode reminded me that every Strawhat has a tragic backstory: Nami lost her adopted mother to Arlong Zoro lost his childhood rival Usoop lost his mother Sanji lost his mother and was abused by his brothers and "father" Chooper lost his adopted father Nico Robin lost her entire childhood(to include her mother and Ohara's inhabitants as well as Saul) and was on the run for most of her teens/early 20's Franky lost his father figure and mentor to the WG Brook lost his original crew Jimbe lost his captain and brother Tiger Fisher to the WG Luffy's endured both tragedy and happiness: he thought he lost Sabo at first, then when he lost Ace, he thought he was the last of the three sworn brothers, but then Sabo emerges before him alive and well at Dressrosa.

It's so insane that everyone tends forgets that his fighting started off with him being caught off guard and stabbed by like eight of Oden's samurai. Then fighting & tanking attacks against Luffy, Zoro, Law, Kidd, Killer and Yamato makes that like 14 people so far while carrying the island. Even Big Mom is still a potential threat for Kaido and he doesn't really seemed too phased or worried about losing.
