2023-03-02 01:04:59 +0000 UTCSo in the actual Campaign, Vex and Vax's dad was nowhere near this much of a dick. Sure he wasn't a great father, he didn't pretend to be unlike this version of him. Hell in pleading for help from his Vax said "We're never going to be a perfect family, but any help you could give us, would be appreciated." Also when Percy presented Vex that title it was during a live show and it actually left her father speechless, causing him to amend their little letter of passage. The crowd went wild when Percy did that. There's also a very interesting dynamic with the Twins' Stepmother and Sister. Usually in fiction the Stepmother and Sister would be absolutely horrible to them. Instead here they're more accepting of them than their own father is. I also think it's very sweet how Vex and Vax don't resent their step-sister. Here is this person a full-blooded elf child that symbolizes every reason their father rejected them. Because they weren't full-blooded elves born of his wife. And instead of being resentful of her, they are incredibly kind to her. I think it's very touching.
