I guess you didn’t realize, but this episode makes fun of “Fist of the North Star” a lot. From all the guys with mohawks plus the clothing they where, to some of the music being a parody of FotNS’s opening theme, to Hijikata at one point literally saying “Omae wa mo shinderu/you are already dead.”
