BDs or Braindances are simulated experiences, they basically allow you to see, feel and smell another person's experiences. As demonstrated here you can even experience their deaths. Kursosaki more or less tortured David by having him experience the last moments of a Cyberpsycho. But tuned it such an extent that David actually thought he himself was doing it. Then we get on the subject of Trauma Team, Trauma Team is like if you took an Ambulance Service and crossed it with a PMC. You get EMTs with military training that come to rescue you if you're injured, or dead. Depending on what level of coverage you have with them. You may very well be covered to a point that they can resuscitate you, even after you should be clinically dead. See the medical technology has advanced so far in the world of Cyberpunk, that there are now degrees of being dead. With each Degree becoming increasingly difficult to revolve. I imagine that somebody catching a needle in their neck, might be easy to deal with for Trauma Team. As long as they got there in time, which given that Kurosaki had Platinum coverage, is pretty likely. So Kurosaki could very well be alive for all we know.
