I somewhat expected Nami to lie, but she could not do it. She wholly believes in Luffy to the extent that she'd die defending her faith in him. Usopp knew if she said it, she would not mean it, which makes Usopp about a devoted to Luffy, but even if Nami said what Ulti wanted, she'd die anyways. I am sure Nami knew that too. And then in comes another MVP Otama the beast tamer! It's a fair assessment that the gifters and headliners at Udon were all converted by her Devil Frut and she can potentially turn more of them against Kaido's crew. Still I doubt it will work on the Toppi Roppo or Queen, King, and Jack.

2023-01-27 15:13:16 +0000 UTCAlso, Oda really likes to draw Luffy and Nami together, especially for special occasions like festivals or when fans want a sign from him. But from his recent interview with Gosho Aoyama he doesn't know and feel confident to draw/write romantic scenes or make crewmates a couple. I think Oda will go with the classic shounen ending, which shows "being pirate is an eternal adventure". Basically an open ending for the kids at home to aspire future generation of children.

2023-01-27 14:45:43 +0000 UTCI don’t really try to push any ships for shows, but in this case I know for sure Luffy and Nami are going to end up together by the end of the series. Remember Nami is the Cat Burglar, she steals and manipulates her way to getting what she wants. If this was for anyone else she would have lied to save her own skin, but not for Luffy, he holds a special place in her heart. Even before the timeskip Nami said she can’t let Luffy be alone otherwise he would die without her. Nami is the only person Luffy wanted to be his navigator and he promised to Nami’s father figure that he would always protect Nami’s smile. These two have the strongest bond of the entire crew. You can just see the slow burn romance building up. I think when we begin the Laugh Tale/One Piece arc that’s when this potential relationship finally come to fruition because again Nami is the navigator and she will play the role of bringing Luffy closer to his dreams more than anyone else. This is one of the few takes I stand firmly behind, Luffy and Nami are going to end up together.

2023-01-27 13:57:26 +0000 UTCA big issue people had with the weaker Straw Hats around this time is that they don't fight with Haki or have the motivation to train for it. Since we're dealing with the crew of Emperor's anyone of any actual significance has haki which makes Straw Hats like Usopp and Nami feel kinda helpless against. Add the fact that most of the important enemies will probably have a devil fruit power on top of their haki and it feels like Usopp and Nami aren't strong enough to fight anyone without being saved. Becoming Pirate King is an already insanse goal and having weak links doesn't help.
