2023-01-23 17:56:13 +0000 UTCYeah, around this time of airing, most people were on team "Kobeni is a shit character" but as we see more of her later in the season and see her try to get over this fear, they started to cut her some slack. I do feel for her, especially as we see and learn more about her as the season progresses.

I think this is the point where I realized that Denji is driven more by his empathy than anything else. He just hides that fact with this crass front he puts on. Dude looked genuinely flabbergasted that Aki took that knife for him, and given how he grew up, it's probably the last thing he expected anyone to ever do for him, especially Aki. Speaking of which, this is the point where he starts to become my favorite character. The stuff between him and Himeno is very captivating and sweet.

2023-01-23 15:27:11 +0000 UTCI do feel bad for Kobeni, she just kind of lost it a little though... and being with two people who just laugh it off like it's no big deal isn't helping, I mean... Power did make it kind of a million times worse by just eating all the food, Kobeni's actually a fan favourite character along with Power by the way, just be glad it's not the dub, I've heard a little of Kobeni's dub voice and it sounds really gratingly screechy. Oh two kind of important mistakes from the translation I should point out, they don't call each other partners, they refer to each other as buddy, the other is something they kind of addressed in this episode but the translation for some reason keeps messing up is "contract", which means an agreement that humans and devils make that can't be broken, the wording is actually very important in this series, but the translation keeps making errors, there's a scene later in the season that got a lot of backlash because they completely butchered the meaning behind a characters words cause the translator wanted to be edgy, honestly if they can't do their job properly and keep causing messes they should be fired.
