In the Abridged, Ais is actually into Bell instead of being completely oblivious. Which leads to some interesting interactions. Ais (upon Hestia accusing Bell of cheating again): I want your boyfriend to be my boyfriend.

2022-11-29 21:29:29 +0000 UTCOdd that you didn't pick up on it, since training was the theme of the episode, but roid boy wasn't toying with the Minotaur, he was training it. Bells 'barrier' is his trauma and fear he got from nearly being killed by one, and since he's grown so strong a regular Minotaur wouldn't be enough of a challenge at this point. So ol Freya had her boy basically power level this one so he'll eventually encounter Bell, and either Bell beats it and overcomes his fear, or gets killed. Which is weird to think about, because so far every challenge that Bell overcame to help him get stronger has been either because of Ais, or Freya. So in a way her being a massive bitch is instrumental in his growth

2022-11-29 15:14:29 +0000 UTCI'm sure people have mentioned this but there is a DanMachi spin off called Sword oratoria that takes place at the same time as season 1 from Ais' perspective, i really recommend it as while it isnt perfect as a stand alone it gives a lot of context to the main series and specifically Ais' character and the Loki familia in general: for instance in the early episodes we get to see the Fuck up on the Loki Familias part that let those minotaurs go to the weaker levels (which is the beginning of ep 1 when Ais saves bell in the main) as well as the expedition ais said she was going on in this episode

2022-11-29 13:50:24 +0000 UTCLilly being disguised by having animal ears is the same logic of Superman being disguised by wearing glasses, it somehow works, don't question it. And for reference in terms of strength, Bell is level 1, he's incredibly strong for a level 1 thanks to his growth skill, but there's a huge gap between levels in terms of strength. But that was why Ais was asking how he got strong so fast. The strongest known adventurers are level 7 (and there are only 2 of them I think, I'm not up to date with the novels).
