I'm just a little bit surprised that Nihei never grew on you. He wasn't my favorite character, by a long shot, but I did find there was something kind of beautiful about his death and his philosophy on life.

2022-11-08 21:55:12 +0000 UTCsomething that the anime left out was this scene that really solidified what shiraishi was saying about how killing comes as naturally as breathing to henmi/dicklight from the manga: https://imgur.com/a/xtQfzQE really shows even more of how batshit insane he really is. also really loved episode 8, get to see even more hijikata badassery. he's definitely one of my favorite characters in the series 100%. also something to note for the next couple months episodes 10, 11, and 12 all have after credit scenes
