What Sisgoleone pulled here reminded me of a character in a game called Suikoden that I am replaying and also awaiting the release of the remaster of it. Mathiu Silverberg, the player's right hand man, informs the player character that they have a spy in their ranks and what was supposed to be a training drill is at the last minute made into an assault on one of the atangonist faction's areas. It throws everyone off since only Mathiu and the player character knew the change was going to happen. It does not reveal the spy, but it does make the spy second guess every bit of info they get all the way up until about the end of the game.
