See the reason I thought they didn't make a full one for Asta was because he really didn't need magic Resistant clothes since he can literally just negate the magic, I mean it'll help a bit, but if they did have to run out it seems like the obvious choice to make Astas last since he's the one who would need it the least

2022-10-27 12:27:51 +0000 UTCThem "running out of fabric" always seemed like a weird out of place attempt at a joke on Asta. Like, if they knew who they were picking, you'd think they could come up with enough or Hell use magic to duplicate the fabric. Minor complaint, but I just never saw the punch to the joke. Also worth noting, Langris was disqualified from the royal knights and rightfully so. It also seems like they intended to recruit Finral, but since he was injured, they chose an alternate in Cobb.
