That show doing so well REALLY piqued my curiosity about it. I want to record an episode, just to check it out, but I want to make sure I'm on the right thing: Would the first episode be "The Heart Of The Cards" and the second "The Gauntlet Is Thrown"?
I'm going to record right now, but I just wanted to make sure I'm watching the right series.
...I swear, if you guys get me hooked on this, and now I start spending money of freakin' YuGiOh cards, I'm gonna be pissed! 😜😂

2022-10-05 21:04:25 +0000 UTCI wanna say probably dubbed cause he called the episode "Heart of the cards" while the Japanese title is "The fearsome blue eyes white dragon" tho for all I know maybe that's what they also call the jap version nowadays on whatever platform it's on.

2022-10-05 21:02:23 +0000 UTCIf at all possible, I suggest tracking down season zero first. They SAY you can jump right into Duel Monsters, but I remember the first episode being pretty rough, and it definitely felt like you were supposed to be familiar with the characters already going into it.

2022-10-05 20:56:25 +0000 UTCOh man this makes me so happy, yugioh and pokemon were my whole childhood growing up and I still adore both to this day, also yes heart of the cards is episode 1, also what I'm gonna be a bit happy about is the small stuff you do remember from the abridged, like how it is for SAO rn.
