Regular comics or vertical scrolling?

Vertical scrolling comics have become more popular over the years, especially with korean manhwa. The advantage is obvious, many people use phones to read comics nowadays, and around half of my fanbase uses smartphones to read my stuff too. So using comics specifically designed for phone screen would make the most sense. However I also know from personal experience, that reading vertical comics on a PC is quite annoying.

So here is the question, should I consider changing my pages layout to be more vertical instead of the regular comic/manga format? Emphasis on the "consider". Even if 99% were to say yes, It's not a definitive change. And even if, it would only start with new comics, not established ones.

Questions like these are always difficult to make, because I don't want to scare away people by even suggesting there may be a change. Believe me, I know these suck. "Why fix what ain't broken?" type of deal. But I still need to know, you know?

Questionable Content was a vertical comic bouncing between 3 and 4 panels for nearly its first decade (can't believe he's been going nearly a quarter century!). As Jeph got better, he transitioned into a more traditional comic layout because it gives much more freedom of choice in matter (2 equal panels on one level, a small one with a larger, wide shot in others, sometimes a single panel on others still. Whatever fits the subject on hand better)

Gone Overdone

Phone users can fairly easily still read normal comic layouts. PC users can’t easily reformat a single long column into something more readable. I’d also be surprised if moving to a column didn’t also have some impact on artistic choices about layout.
