Yeah, Shampoo was kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. Hy law she has to kill Girl type Ranma but she also loves boy type Ranma and by law also has to marry him. Now that she knows that Girl and Boy Ranma are one and the same, it seems she can't bring herself to finish the job.

2022-09-04 20:19:55 +0000 UTCI actually really like Shampoo, she's a bit like Lum from Urusei Yatsura in some ways, even in their general look, it make sense given Urusei was Rumiko's first series before Ranma, she's a bit crazy and selfish, but that's how most of Rumiko's characters are lol. She's talked about that before, she's not interested in making perfect characters, all her characters have personality flaws and are a little selfish, it's what makes them fun and why she's been successful at writing manga for over 40 years now.
