I don't care on who tells me SAO was terrible. That's people who possibly haven't got through season 1. Season 2 and Season 3 (Can't wait for you to get to that Season if you ever do) are just as good. Not the greatest animes but still a high rank B (S - F tierlist) This is a good anime and I stick by that.

2022-08-28 22:47:44 +0000 UTCSAO was the series that introduced a lot of new people to anime since it appealed to the MMO (massive multiplayer online) crowd when that genre was really popular. The biggest issue I had with the series is that no one in the game acts like how actual video game players would act, it is more of a fantasy world that has a video game aesthetic. That said, I do understand why a lot of people still love the series. Speaking of which, SAO abridged is doing the 2nd season of the series and it's still great.
