2022-07-20 01:04:50 +0000 UTCKomi was a pretty big surprise to me when I picked up the manga, I didn't expect to find such a sweet and cute series, it's cast is a lot of fun as well. by the way a few things, the manga is structured into short stories of around 5 pages or so that connect, just like Nichijou, so that's why the structuring feels different to you, that flower like thing in Tadano's hair is literally just some hair standing up, it's just how they draw it on him to make him stand out more. Oh also the series is published in Shonen Sunday, so they make references to other series from the magazine, like the blacked out characters near 6 minutes in are a detective conan reference, later in the series there's even a character named after Rumiko Takahashi one of the magazine's biggest creators, they even directly reference one of her characters Lum from Urusei Yatsura. plus they have 2 short crossovers with "Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle" another shonen sunday series, unfortunately they probably won't animate the crossovers
