2022-07-06 15:42:23 +0000 UTCI was looking through the show's wiki to see what episodes were coming up when I noticed an episode in season three that I not only didn't recognize, but couldn't find your reaction for. I thought it was weird so I looked it up and apparently episode four of season three was called The Ballad of Jimmy Rebel, and it was banned and removed after one airing for "excessive racism" Now, I’ve never seen this episode so I’m not exactly sure how bad it is, but it is a Ruckus episode which should already tell you something. Based on how this show works I highly doubt that the episode's main thesis is “racism is good.” My guess without having seen it is that the racism in this particular episode is to a larger extent coming from a white character, and that made people especially uncomfortable. It was easier for people to laugh at the terrible shit Ruckus says because he is black and that adds a layer of absurdity, but hearing the same shit coming from a white surpremisict made things way too real, and uncomfortable. Anyway, I’m gonna go see if I can track it down and watch it for myself.
