I can definitely see some entertaining edge to this show, but the “innocence” thing for me is more about overall presentation and how it brings me back to my innocent days… I didn’t explain that well at all! 😄

2022-07-03 15:47:05 +0000 UTCI find it funny you call the show innocent given how dark I know Rumiko's humour can get lol, it's a shame some of those scenes never got animated, because you'd love the more edgy jokes later. Honestly I don't mind Kodachi that much, but that's probably because I've read the manga, she feels less obnoxious in it, and a lot less verbose, that's probably because the first season of the anime extends and alters a lot of scenes, like for instance when Ranma and Ryoga get hit with the hot water in the match it's more comedic with Ranma and Ryoga laughing at each other, right before Akane hits them with cold water on the same page, oh and later Kodachi gives up on Ranma, only for her love to burn again in the next panel ending on a pun about Ranma being burnt out. The pacing really effects how the characters come across.
