Honestly, think the only reason it's not legal is that the government hasn't found a good way to tax it. It's the world's oldest profession and it's not going anywhere, so long as there is more than one person in the world. I don't think it's just about the law, having to lie or feeling ashamed, though. If it's legal, then prostitutes can feel safer when they work. Possibly even having medical or some immediate protection should something go wrong.

2022-05-18 20:54:45 +0000 UTCI get that it's framed negatively here, but prostitution should be legal. She clearly prefers doing that kind of work, so why shouldn't she be able to? Work sucks. If you can find a job that you can tolerate, then you're lucky. She should have that option. She shouldn't have to worry about the law and she shouldn't feel the need to lie about what she does.
