In terms of power level, they mentioned previously in the series that the Demon Slayers have never been able to kill any of the Upper 6 demons (they only ever killed the lower 6, which is why Muzan killed them all because they were underperforming). The upper 6 have killed numerous Hashira each, so yea, the power gap is pretty huge. Its also why Muzan was such a dick to Akaza (Upper 3) because he knew Akaza should have been able to kill the Hashira and everyone else there if he had been serious and not been trying to recruit him instead.
