2022-04-09 22:31:06 +0000 UTCKid didn't have a mother, it's only kind of indirectly explained mostly connected to that "other" character, but Kid was originally part of Death's soul that Death split from himself. It's suggested that Death created him so that there would be a Shinigami that could leave Death city.

2022-04-09 19:11:56 +0000 UTCKid thinking back to his dad reminded me of something. Neither in the manga nor in the anime, IIRC, we never get a clue as to who Kid's mom is. For all we know Death could've just popped Kid out one day from his coat. Actually, i don't think we know much about the moms of any of the cast, we know a bit about Maka's but that 'travelling the world' bit with the postcard she got is totally anime-original.
