This is what I meant about them needing to be sent to the void. It's understandable what drove them to that point, but if they are allowed to reincarnate with that twisted soul, then they could end up becoming the next rapist or murderer that started this whole cycle in the first place. Shimada's case is a little bit different though. His sister ASKED him to get revenge. It wasn't just about him. In Tatsumi's case, his wife was already gone. It did not benefit her in any way to get revenge. It was all about him, and his own pleasure. That's why he kept going. Tatsumi was a killer at heart. He enjoyed killing, and he only targeted criminals because it made him feel justified. Did some of the criminals deserve it? I'm sure (though I bet some of them didn't). But that doesn't matter, because Tatsumi was killing them for himself, not for anyone else. Any justification was just an excuse. He was even willing to let someone become a victim so he could get that pleasure of killing someone "morally".

Personally seeing the guy holding a knife to the girl while he pinned her down, would've been enough proof that the guy deserved death. I'm pretty sure both of them are bound for the void. I'm just sad that Shimada has to go as well because of that piece of shit that used to be such a good man Tatsumi.
