2022-02-04 00:40:14 +0000 UTCKyoko and Moko's friendship is really sweet, it's slow growing with Kyoko being a bit too pushy and Moko being a bit too stubborn, but they work well off each other, it's one of the great dysfunctional relationships in the series, there's another similar to it I like later but that's way after the anime ended. It's only brought up briefly at the end here, but Sho really messed Kyoko's life up in a lot of ways we're only starting to realize, like yeah, he took her away with him as basically a maid around the end of middle school, so she never did get a full proper education, while as an idol Sho's education is basically fully paid for by his company.

We've told you Moko will grow on you)))) I think one of the allures of Skip Beat is that it showcases characters' inner thoughts so clearly, rather than keep us guessing about their motives and feelings. Not to mention the extremely entertaining animation that goes with it. Sometimes it's a bit weird, like Koenji song/dance number, but I think in the end it adds to the general charm of the show)
