I think the Spear Hero character is suppose to represent the isekai anime stereotypical main protag. He has a beautiful Princess that "loves" him, the king likes him best, he gets the most praise, and has a harem of female teammates on his side. The only difference is since he isn't the main character of the show, we see him as he truly is and not an idealized version.

Also because both of the other girls act like they're in this because they think he's dreamy. Giving her plenty of opportunities to act on said jealousy.
