Side note: I liked that Goku needed to tell Krillin he didn't have a nose so he shouldn't be effected by bad smells for Krillin to realize he in fact didn't have a nose and couldn't actually smell the odor the whole time.

Most Kanji characters have multiple readings. Usually you can choose the correct reading from context, but it's very hard when it comes to names. Announcer read "Son Goku" as "Mago Gosora", which is technically valid. Apparently, this joke was lost in translation.
