As someone who watched the whole series in order, yeah Yamcha was a pretty cool character. Not only was he more successful than Pilaf, but he was the first real martial artist Goku faced and lost, even if he was hungry. He was also the series’ first antihero which set him apart, at least for a while

It was never about a walk in original work, Roshi wanted to touch Bulma's boobs and Oolong suggested "puff-puff" (face between boobs and...) And I don't know why they needed to change what Chi-Chi and Goku disgussed at the end either, Chi-Chi asked Goku to marry her, which Goku agreed to (thinking it was a name of food)
