LUFFY'S GETTING THERE! - One Piece #865

I honestly don't see Katakuri as a villain. He's just on a different side, imo. That fact alone is why he's not my all time favorite One Piece villain. Because to me, he's not a villain in the first place. Just an insanely badass character who happens to be against Luffy. No evil intent, just looking out for his brothers, sisters, and mama.

Big Mom ruined any chance of me being a fan when she smacked her kid around… I’m up and down on her kids. Katakuri is an awesome badass, but Oven is an annoying douche to me. The other kids go back and forth for me. 😊

Every Nami is a hot Nami, but yes she can talk down to me anytime. Something that I always thought about Observation Haki before Katakuri was that it was like a future sight, what with one being able to predict an opponent's next move, but with Katakuri it became muddle and strange. He can see slightly into the future and can read the exact actions everyone in the area will take, which is why he can dodge so efficiently like he said, but it only reminded me of when Crocodile said a logia user (Katakuri isn't one but he's fruit is similar) can reflexively turn to their element. So I really had to wonder what exactly was future sight supposed to mean in a fight if taking an action changes the outcome if not just base haki. I came to the conclusion of two things. Speed and total intent. Luffy can already dodge an opponent and it seems like Observation doesn't show you if an opponent will react to your dodge, but Katakuri can and will negate your dodge, meaning he sees more than just your negative actions against him and can focus on you even if you aren't paying him any mind which makes sense as he knows what you'll say. Speed is also important as even if you see the next move it's as it happens which if you aren't fast you aren't dodging, but if you can asses these things seconds before hand then you can react accordingly. Haki is weird.

Unlike you lad or mostly everyone here, I like big mom and all her children but one. That's the one you just met. As you're a few episodes ahead you can probably tell why I don't like her. You'll have also seen why no one hates Katakuri. Also lad the only reason the starwhats are escaping from big mom is because of her hunger pang. Believe me if she was in her five senses they would've been wiped out already.

I really hate Flampe, she is such a brat! And I have totally forgotten that she is the captain of suicide squad, so why doesn't she use that title to go to.... I think this episode is the longest we have been in mirror world continuously during this fight?

Evil Nami is hottest Nami. Katakuri knows he has to not just beat Luffy; he has to break him. This is why when I first watched this arc, I could not bring myself to hate or dislike Katakuri; he's a man who acknowledges Luffy's potential and unlike previous antagonists(aside from Crocodile, Smoker, Issho, and Tashigi) he sees the strength within Luffy and he knows Luffy could pose a possible threat to his mother. Oh and I already know you're going to despise Flampe(the girl who was fawning for Katakuri) That brat is a pain in the ass.

It's a lot easier since you're watching 1 episode a day, but when this was coming out weekly it was pretty hard waiting for another episode just to see "luffy's getting there" and then the next episode "he's allllllmoooooost there" and then have that go on for a few months in real time heh.
