Oven is nothing more than the third tire of a trio of brothers of a loveless marriage between his unnamed father and as you called her "Big Skank". He's both a literal and figurative bastard.

But yea, as I've said before, the author doesn't kill off that many characters in this series, but almost all of them are emotional moments.
