Ok on the thing with Rem... I'll remind you Curtis that a blank letter was sent to Emelia in order to inform her on the alliance and all that. Rem made that letter but it came up plank... that's a big hint with what happened but I think if your jumping straight into Season 2 then that will be answered shortly.

Other than the whole Cliffhanger thing I didn't much like, this was awesome from start to finish and I can't wait for Curtis to start watching Season 2, it brings a lot more worldbuilding to the table and we get some very interesting stuff.

This was my first time going through the directors cut of the show, having only watched the original myself. Gotta say i much prefer the original ending, the cliffhanger was neat but it doesn't feel like it fits. Like Sean said, it kinda wrecks this being the final 'high point' of the season.

Ok I was fine with the directors cut however the sole reason that I didn't choose to watch it when showing the show to my roommate is because of this ending scene. This was something extra they put in and I get some people like cliffhangers like this. Me however, I hate this. I talked about the whole High points and Low points in every arc. Well this cliffhanger just sinks that high point of the final arc of which we don't get many as bright as this. I'm ok with other people liking it, it's just that I personally do not and I wanted to talk about that.

Originally this season ended off all happy with that scene between Emilia and Subaru, which is nice. But I believe the novels ended off with the cliffhanger so the Director's Cut adds that back in. It's a brutal cliffhanger though

Subaru wrote "owari da" or "the end", he wrote it in lugunican which is why the subs didnt translate it
