On a more serious note, I feel that, as new garden owners, we definitely underestimated how fast the dandelions and weeds grew in our garden, and we didn't have any proper equipment to get rid of them.

2022-05-12 23:06:47 +0000 UTCBe glad it’s only flowers - my husband and I recently moved into a new house, and the previous owners let the entire yard perimeter grow with poison ivy and there is poison oak growing on several of the trees. We’re having a time getting the yard safe to use.

2022-05-11 17:04:02 +0000 UTCActually, think of them as wildflowers and not weeds. They add a burst of color to the yard and they attract butterflies and bees which are vital to the environment! Besides, the only way to get rid of dandelions is to remove the entire plant at the roots. That's a lot of time and backbreaking work. Or use pesticides to kill the plants but that could harm the soil. I suggest living with them and try to enjoy the beauty of the little flowers.
