Dating Sim / Visual Novel (First Look)

It's a dating sim / visual novel, a game for PC and Mac.
As you can see on the screen capture above, there's a few characters that you can choose to date.
After you choose a character, the game will direct you into a dialogue based story, and your choices in all the interaction will determine the outcome of story. Of course, there will be good ending and bad ending depends how you choose.
I have zero experience in making a visual novel / dating sim, and my coding skill is basic to none, so I'd appreciate all the help I can get. (Or by any chance, If you happen to be a game develpper and wanna help me out, just hit me up in direct messages.)
If you have any suggestion or ideas for the game, please don't hesitate to put them in the messages or comments, I will definitely take them into consideration. I need all the help I can get to make it happen.

If you have been following me for a long time, I think you will be quite familiar with all the characters and probably their likes/dislikes, so it should be an easy game to play.
It's only the first step of a very long journey, but I'm really interested in making it happen this time. In the past, I have been really hesitated to make a visual novel / dating sim, even it's just a small simple game, it requires a lot of art work and time invested. Now I'm reaching a point that I feel it's the right medium to tell my story.
The events in the game will be inspired by my real life experience, but they are not a reflection of the people in real life.
In real life, Nico has already passed away (may him rest in peace). But in the game, maybe I can tell stories about a lot of things I didn't tell in my comics. I think it will be a good way to keep his memory alive.
Also, you can see the popular Officer Scott from "Super Gear" on the dating list. I'm thinking with him involved, maybe I can even tell the story of "Super Gear" through the game (a little ambitious but possible).
Anyway, I'm working on it little by little like a snail. And I will keep you guys up to date on the progress of developping the game.
Also, I wish I could post a short playable demo here soon on Patreon, so you guys can play it and tell me what you think. Fingers crossed.

I don't have any experience with dating, but this could be fun because it's fictional! Oh dear, I'm so sorry about Nicolas! Yes, may he Rest In Peace and his Memory Live On. Most people don't believe he's based on a real life person and for most people, he's just a silly cartoon character, so I won't worry too much about the problematic part.

Quant à l'histoire, je t'assure qu'elles seront plus "réalistes" que "Q", et c'est sûr qu'il auront des scènes coquines, mais le reste de l'histoire va être plus relaxant et romantique. L'idée de coming out me paraît intéressante aussi. XD Et avec Jamel et Ahmed, on peut explorer d'autres parcours peut-être plus "dur" que les autres. De toute façon, j'ai vraiment envie de faire un jeu intéressant pour ma communauté ici. XD

2021-04-30 10:24:14 +0000 UTCWhen I started, I was looking at 3 Visual Novel tools: Ren'py, Visual Novel maker and Tyrano builder. Even though Ren'py seems to be quite powerful and free, I chose Tyrano cause it seems to be the easiest to make a game like that, which requires very little coding. I'm just gonna keep making the game with it for now. XD

I like that there are more kinds of body types than just muscles to date (tho, slut that I am, I would really only be interested in Billie's...muscles. 😁 ) If Jiang is there, maybe Jamal as well? I don't if that is strange to suggest since they are a couple. Maybe also Moussa!

It’s a great idea to put him in the game; all this characters are so charismatic that I can’t wait to date them hehe. I wish I could help you out but I don’t know e urging about code. Keep it up Lolo, that’s a great idea, and I think it can be huge.

Quel aventure/histoire ? .Au moins une histoire très saine, à propos d'un d'eux qui vas de but en blanc, dynamique, mais le fait tout en étant respectueux, créant un rendu fluide, pour montrer que ça peut arriver entre les hommes, pas que dans des histoires hétéros. .Au moins une histoire réaliste ou l'un d'eux n'a pas encore finis son coming-out avec son entourage le plus proche. Parce que c'est pas tout le temps aussi simple, quand on n'est pas juste un homme caucasien, des fois, il y'a d'autres préjugés. (Si te veux partir dans cette direction de réalisme.)

2021-04-29 18:43:25 +0000 UTCYou might want to look into Ren'py. It supposed to be a gaming engine/developer tool that is specifically for visual novels. Since it's well know you should be able to get support in development and debug. Content wise I'll get back on that when I'm not on my phone.. :)

2021-04-29 18:07:10 +0000 UTCI have been considering it for quite some time, dating multiple people could be really cool in a game, also, it will add an extra layer to the relationship with a certain character. For example, if a character values monogamy, then the fact you are dating other character will make him like you less and lead to a certain ending of the story, and vice versa with another character who's more playful. However, the problem at the moment for me is coding. I know all these can be achieved with Javascript, but I'm not a coder, and I can't deal with more complicated coding in the game, so for now, maybe just date one character at a time. 😅

2021-04-29 17:51:55 +0000 UTCHe passed away early last year. And we didn't get the chance to say goodbye, because he left France without telling anybody shortly before his death. Only months later, we got a message from his family saying he passed away, and from the words we got, we think it's suicide. It's very hard on us, and until this day, there are still so many unanswered questions around his death.
