Redraw in Black & White

One of my regrets is BIG IS BETTER Vol.3.

It's the book that I wish it does not exist the way it is now. At the time, back in 2016, after the failure of the first two books, I wasn't quite sure which direction I should take for the rest of the story, and at that time, everyone was drawing in colors, so despite my lack of knowledge in coloring, I spent a lot of time making BIB in colors. Now I look back, I really regret that decision. The coloring took so much time that the story was significantly reduced. If I didn't waste so much coloring, I would make the story much better and much longer.

So here's a few panels  from BIB chapter 16 that I redrew in black and white, in the classic BIB 2015 style. I'll let you, my dear readers, to decide which one is better.

You can find the original colored pages HERE. (BIG IS BETTER - CHAPTER 16)

I liked the colored pages, even if you never do it again. I know you must have put a lot of work into the colored pages, but many of your buyers liked it. We will wait for you to continue the story if you don't know what comes next. We will be patient.

I love this series! The black white is different to what everyone else is doing.❤

To me, the coloring technique you chose for BiB made the scenes feel both dream-like and dramatic. The main characters are both larger-than-life and still discovering each other; and I feel like I'm reading an Epic (of sex). I think it worked quite well. However, your BW redraws give me a more intimate feeling, like I'm being slowly becoming part of it. I think this also works quite well.

Maybe if you didn’t struggle to draw this comic in colour, you won’t be as a good comic writer as you are now. Don’t regret that it happened, be grateful that it happened, there is always two side of a coin. PS for me I love black and white (I just preferred everything in B&W)

I actually like both versions, but you have to continue doing it the way YOU want and what's better for the story. If that means black and white, then that's what you should do. Regardless of what anyone else thinks, this is YOUR story, so you need to be true to your vision of it.

I think we know which one is better, it’s the Black & White, BIB. I look forward to you finishing this story in b&w :-)

I join Tim and Danny. BIB always had a refreshing twist on size and sci-fi. This is the comic that proved to me that you can create genuine storylines that are thought provoking, intriguing and damned hot. Being in black and white flavors the sci-fi aspect in just the right tone, that colors would not do justice to. These are your creations so you get to choose what to do, but I would love to see the story find its end. Bravo!

This defiantly adds more depth to the story not that the story doesn’t already have depth but it gives it that cult classic feel and I just want to know how these 2 continue. Don’t see it as a mistake but as a learning experience ❤️❤️❤️

Song, I've always preferred BIB in black & white! I do hope to see you complete the storyline with my 2 favorite incredible characters.

So haunting. Oh how I love this series. I know it’s hard to continue. So much work and why should you since your current work is popular. I loved the story. Like a good novel. Relished every chapter. When it stoped. Wondered what you had in mind to happen next. You had left open so many mysteries. That wondered how they would be explored. As well as the wonderful relationship that was developing between the two main characters. So romantic and yet so mysterious. Hope you continue whichever you decide. I would opt for the easiest to get your story forward first. Think can republish if you decide to embellish later. Am sure you probably want to see if there is a way to make more money. Am sure it will come to you.

Don’t regret it! But leave it all in black and white. It’s more powerful! And share the full story with us. Black and white, to me, it’s better on this strong, big tales.
