Residence Tax
Added 2019-10-17 19:08:33 +0000 UTCI hate paying taxes. 😡 It feels like we are paying tax after tax in this country and there's no end to it. According to Wiki, France continues to be among the OECD countries whose tax rate is the highest. 😱😭 Joe is worried because we spent quite a lot during the past few months (from our trip to Italy to the purchase of new furniture). We had to be careful with our spending for the rest of the year now.

Our tax is much lower here, but not much benefit for the citizens. I hope you get what you paid for.

2019-10-17 20:28:27 +0000 UTCIn Greece you pay monthly housing tax according to energy consumption, AND in September a fixed tax on property (house and land)... So when it's a vacation house the taxes depend on the usage you do. I think it's not bad for us but for the locals it's a nightmare..

2019-10-17 19:23:25 +0000 UTCIn the UK we pay our housing (council tax) tax monthly over 10 months! It feels like you get two free months but you don’t it’s just divided into 10 months! Joys of being a tax payer! 😔 plus I’d hate to get an annual bill for it...
