Not so long ago, I was also in that numbers game. How many likes, comments and new followers I got everyday decided how good I felt about myself. And it felt miserable, cause enough is never enough on these social platforms. Trust me, I tried to act my best on Instagram, and my account still got deleted. It feels like Instagram keeps telling me that my best is a failure.
Social media is only a tool. I'm not going to let it dictate what I can or can't create from now on.

The fact that you are not the only one being persecuted by instagram should be enough evidence that you are not a failure, but rather the system put in place by instagram is a failure. look at how many people you’ve gathered around and who appreciate your art. Me and my boyfriend are always look at your comics and appreciate them. this was the reason I became a Patreon in the first place. You are an amazing artist and don’t you ever forget that!

Build it and they will come. Understand completely about the people pleasing but as you know now the more you people please the more you are. unpleased about yourself.

Anyway, your current view is the right way to go, though the numbers game remains—just different. Since Patreon seems to be your primary source of income, use social media primarily to attract followers here. Don't replicate your content on social media.
