On Sunday night, we watched this year's Eurovision Song Contest quietly at home. We prepared a lot of snacks and it was a fun show! We enjoyed all the performances! (I know this is gonna sound bad, but the only performance I didn't enjoy much is Madona's autotune at the end.)
I was rooting for France (of course), The Netherlands, Italy, Russia, Denmark and Estonia.
Joe was rooting for almost the same, along with Sweden and Australia.
I predicted that UK (because of Brexit) and Germany (The song is bad period!) were gonna be in the bottom and I was right. XD
I love Bilal's song "Roi" but unfortunately we didn't do very well in this competition. News say that the singer was a little bit sick right before the show, so that might explain why his voice cracked a little bit at the end of his performance. Well, I guess we can't all be kings and queens...
Congratulation to Duncan Laurence who represents The Netherlands. The big winner of the night! After his singing, I was like: Damn it! Guess we won't win this year! XD
I also enjoyed the part where former winners (& favourite candidates) sang each other's songs. And I'm glad to see there are so many LGBT representations in this show, from the city, the host to the artists. It's one big happy show, and we loved it!
