I have a small defense for Thanos' motivations, but it isn't very good. You see, Thanos is a jerk: he doesn't want prosperity, he wants CHANGE for its own sake. If he uses the gauntlet to make the universe bigger and more plentiful, he thinks we will stay the same. If he kills half of everyone, we are forced to struggle and rebuild and improve. Basically, he has no faith in living things to improve on our own, without a scourge to force us.

But Parker’s last scene was heartbreaking to me, he wasn’t prepared for a possibility of death and he’s still a kid. And Strange said in 14,000,650 possible future, only 1 they won over Thanos, so I think him hanging over the time stone, set in motion that one possible outcome. Captain Marvel will be Infinity War part 2 aka Avengers 4 next May which I’m super pumped about. Marvel is killing the villain game in just under a few months with Killmonger in Black Panther (best grounded villain to talk about or address issues in the black community and bridge the gap between African descendents and Africans from the Mother continent. To embrace our blackness. And Thanos as a great celestial villain who knew what he was going to do, did it, posed as an actual challenge, and peaced out.

That's exactly how I feel. The story in the comic book makes more sense compared to the movie, but I have to give the film a thumb up as well, all the fantastic action scenes made me almost forget about the story. XD

Comic Thanos worships Death and tries to actively court/impress the personification of Death. This makes way more sense as a motivator, death is the goal, vs I need omnipotence to save on resources I could make unlimited with the same power I kill half of everyone.

We enjoyed the wonder woman movie as well, but the justice league movie is not as decent as the wonder woman solo movie. DC has to do a lot to catch up with Marvel at this point. XD

I have to agree with you, Amanda. Thanos's gauntlet becomes so overpowering at a certain point, I think it's a little bit too much, even for a superhero movie. XD

I watched it, love the action and the jokes. But don't understand the whole Thanos noble cause. Ps: is not just Spiderman being useless, I think is the same for basically everyone else.

Love marvel comics but dc can be pretty decent too. Live Wonder Woman, the movie as well as the hot back story of the guy who created her.

Agreed, they should have kept Thanos' original intent: impress Death itself because he is in love with it. It makes him such a better vilains if he is just a killer and egoistic.
