I actually don't like the way the actors in 300 looked, other than the beards, that is. I like bears with a little extra belly on them (sometimes a lotta extra belly on them).

I think Gerard Butler is a very handsome man but he has the worst luck picking movies to be in. I think it's partly because he always wants to be the star and, partly due to 300, that they have to be big action films (I can't explain the rom-com choices at all). I think it would be a lot better for him to be in a few films as the third or fourth billed actor. It would help him build a reputation as a good actor and not just a special effects action star.

Agree. I didn't even realise Fassbinder was in the 300 movie. He definitely got more interesting roles than Gerard after 300. Comic book movies launches so many careers. XD

At the same time, I wish he could really deliver in a really good movie. I haven't seen him in a good movie for quite some years now. No matter how much I like him, a bad movie is a bad movie, even with good actors in it.

Loved him in 300, Fassbinder was in that too. Launched his career too. The amount of work he has to do to get in shape for those movies is amazing. There are so many wonderful comic book heros he could be. I want Rocco Vargas from Daniel Torres to be turned into a movie.

I would say it's like French Cuisine and Popcorn. More sophisticated movie viewers wouldn't enjoy 2012 but the public might enjoy it very much. And vice versa.
