I can add my voice as well. Jack and I are in the same position as you two. We wanna get our own place and trying to save up for a house later on down the road while trying to be good dads and raise his (technically our) 3 year old son. I currently make less money than him working part time retail, but as long as we can put our heads together and come up with a plan, we haven't lost hope. It'll just take some time and extra work put into it, but we'll get there. You will too. I have faith 😀

I understand Joe's position. I make a much larger percentage of our income and I certainly want to own property, but it's still not quite enough to afford anything, especially since we live in the Seattle area. Keep your dream alive, but also go gentle on Joe's feelings, knowing that he's frustrated with the current financial situation.

We'll soon find out how much we can borrow from the bank and to be frank, it won't bother me if we couldn't get a good credit rating. We just need to work on it and maybe start saving more. Of course you can. It is also good, as Joe say to find out specifically what your credit rating is together and find out what you can do. Sometimes you can start small then trade up. You guys are at the beginning of your life together. Don't be afraid to find out what you can do with your little bits of savings. Everyone starts somewhere. I have confidence you will fulfill all your dreams and more. Don't give up before the miracle happens.
