We went to watch La La Land yesterday.
I know this movie has been in theater for quite some time now, but despite all the buzz in the medias, I'm pretty sure a lot of people are like us who haven't watched it yet. I'm usually not a big fan of original musical movies, but this one blew me away. I couldn't think of a better movie to watch for us at this time after our fight.
We arrived at the theater early in the afternoon. We wanted to take cheaper morning tichets but the movie was only available for afternoon and evening. I guess most of the people have probably already watched the movie, so there are many empty seats, which is perfect. It was like having a whole theater only to us and some other few.
I got quite emotional watching it. In the movie, Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling both play artists (actrice and musician) who try to break through in their careers. And it resonated with me on every level... the struggle and the frustration.
We both really enjoyed the movie. And the music is great. I'm still humming it now.
