2023-04-05 02:08:16 +0000 UTCI will say, as someone who doesn't participate in the discord community, I don't think any of the jokes were particularly inaccessible to people who weren't already privy to them - the tea thing did seem a bit out of left field, but it seemed to explain itself pretty clearly so my reaction was just "Ah, this character likes tea."

2023-04-05 01:09:38 +0000 UTCYeah a lot of it was based on 'in' humor jokes, but I also didn't want to do something complex and figured it would be fun. :D There were some in development changes I did to make it more approachable even, but I'm sure something more openly understandable would probably be even better.

2023-04-04 19:54:51 +0000 UTCI enjoyed, but I think that’s mostly because I understood the inside jokes. Like, one of the dev’s essential needs being tea, for example. That’s funny if you’re familiar with the discord memes, but probably wouldn’t mean much if you’re not. I think a lot of the game is like that. If you decide to make something like this again, it would be cool to see more humour that can be understood by people who’ve never interacted with the wider MGD fandom. Like, Iaru having some funny interactions with pre-existing MGD characters. Anyone who’s played the main game would be able to appreciate that kind of thing.
