Character Profiles

While the romance between the pairs is of course the main point of this verse, they do have their own identity (unless their name is Blake). So here's a look what everyone is like as an individual. I'll add characters gradually.

Heads up, we don't usually outline specifics like age, height, weight, etc. They're adult guys living in a wonderful gay dog universe with their partners, that's all I know.

Soo

Was a normal, happy child. Got fixated on Blake at a young age.

As a teen, felt like his feelings gave Blake power over himself. Did not like the thought of someone holding control over him, causing Soo to cut ties with Blake. Didn't admit it to himself, but he regretted it a lot. Went pretty wild for a bit when they met again by chance.

Now he's selfish, uncaring, cold, disinterested, mean. What a lovely guy. Not as hostile as he used to be. Has no interest in others. He tolerates people that he deems beneficial, or if they make Blake happy.

He knows what he has, and that it's not going anywhere. He can be possessive, but he is not jealous, ever. Very confident. Strict. Even still, very tolerant when it comes to Blake. They flow at a mutual rhythm.

Does whatever he wants. Does not keep up any sort of tough guy personality. He'll call Blake baby in front of everyone if he feels like it. Unashamedly himself.

Cares about Blake. He cares about Blake a lot. He isn't mean to Blake anymore. Takes control. Never does things with the intention of hurting Blake. He wants Blake happy, always. His love is extremely twisted, but it is love.

Blake

Followed Soo around as a kid. Something innocent and childish turned more and more twisted as the years went by.

Soo is his world, has been his world since they were little. Soo will always be Blake's world. He wants what Soo wants, likes what Soo likes. Incapable of seeing any of his bad sides.

Completely lost without Soo. Devastated when Soo cut ties with him back in their youth. He would've changed into anything Soo wanted, if that would've made him stay. Will endure anything, if it means he gets to be with Soo.

On autopilot when on his own.

Life now completely dictated by Soo. Does not want to decide anything. A masterclass in learned helplessness & incompetence. Could do things, but does not want to. Just wants to be led. Finds it absolutely natural that he's told what to do, always.

Does care for his friends, but can be a bad friend despite this. Unintentionally lacks empathy, sometimes. Does not always listen what people are telling him. Hears what he wants to hear.

Rarely shows any negative emotions. Does not understand when he is treated badly. Doesn't cry. The rare sight of Blake crying rattles Soo.

Venti

So easygoing, he's easy to misunderstand. Often viewed as a casual, player type. Relaxed, calm. Usually the kindest guy in the room. Very difficult to get riled up, can take a lot. Doesn't hold grudges. Does not want to hurt anyone. Doesn't always stand up for himself. First will, though.

Casual about sex & intimacy. Complete opposite of Soo, does not control his partner at all. First can do anything he wants. Trusts First a lot. Is trustworthy himself.

Somewhat lacking with communication. Hurts First sometimes by his "going with the flow"-attitude. Has to be prompted to think deeper about his own feelings. Always willing to fix his mistakes (please just talk to him First I'm begging you).

Smart. Catches onto things others don't. Good at reading people. Bad at confronting people. First has seen him mad exactly once.

Used to live a very dull & grey life, despite things being objectively fine. Didn't have any deep connections. Unhappy and empty. A very different person after meeting First.

People get surprised when they find out what he does for work.

Unbelievably bad at video games. Playing with him is torment.

First

Troubled homelife. Has done things he regrets.

Almost instantly smitten with Venti. Very insecure. Struggles with self image. Did not think he had a chance with Venti at all. Gets hurt a lot by the casual nature of their relationship at the start. Leans on Venti in many ways.

Lashes out when mad. Sometimes he says things he regrets. Always apologizes. Cries a lot. Blushes easily. Very easy to rile up. Bottles up his feelings. Tends to self sabotage. Craves love and respect.

Used to a very hostile way of communicating, both verbal and physical. Sometimes looks for arguments because of this. Is thrown off by Venti not arguing back, or getting mad. Knows there is no need to be jealous, but gets jealous regardless. Deeply dislikes these traits about himself. Really wants to be better.

Kind hearted. Wants to be tough, but is soft. Never has bad intentions. Sometimes naive. Not the best at reading people. Tends to find the wrong kind of people cool.

Likes games. A gamer, if you will. Good looking people make him nervous.
