A lot of my collection are vintage books. If you, or Ben, ever have a chance to go to Bonnie Slotnick's cookbooks in the East Village here in NYC, you must! x

I got divorced, moved to another state, and didn’t have enough room for all of them, so I headed to Powell’s Books & sold a lot of them. This is when the internet was becoming increasingly more accessible, so I could look online for recipes. Fast forward to present day. I have so many cookbooks, I had to get an extra bookcase to store them all. I haven’t counted, but the number I have is similar to what I had before. I love looking at everything Ben makes, and am now a huge Allison Roman fan. (Thanks Ben 😉) It is NOT an addiction! Sort of…..😬😂

I believe it originated here due to our milling/flour industry. Washburn MPLS HS mascot - ‘The Millers’. Those rich kids were called ‘cake eaters’ because of the wealth generated by the ‘white flour industry’. But sure Carl, I guess you can eat cake made out of STEEL as well. 🙄 That would, at least, explain why you needed those new terrifying teeth. My credible source: The Mighty Ducks 1, 2 & 3!

I’m a recovering heroin addict and even tho I’m in therapy for years, I still always say life is fucking boring after feeling that sort of high for a few years. It’s wild. It’s one of the reasons I won’t have kids, I don’t want them to be bored with life like I am. Love to feel validated when you spoke on that. Thank you
