And she very politely indicated that she did not reciprocate Shep’s feelings but also I think was trying to not embarrass him on national tv by ghosting him or telling him how she really felt. She perfectly straddled the line of not leading him on while also not embarrassing him. God it’s exhausting the standards that young women are held to in relationships - meanwhile these 40-year-old dudes don’t want to cheat for the first time in their lives and their goddamn heroes.
