Chapter 73: A Scuffle

The three stopped and walked all the way, and soon arrived near Flourish and Blotts.

Perhaps because of the school opening, the bookstore was very lively today, but Erwin took a closer look and found that most of the crowd were witches.

From witches about Erwin's age to elderly witches, they all peered into the bookstore with frenzied expressions.

"Today is Lockhart's book signing!"

Hermione looked at the banner hanging on the second floor of the bookstore with a hint of disgust in her tone.

At Christmas, Erwin had given her a set of Lockhart books, and also told Hermione how Lockhart obtained the stories.

Of course, she chose to trust Erwin. So now, she hated Lockhart very much.

But due to the lack of evidence, Hermione, who was full of justice, couldn't write a letter to the Ministry of Magic to report Lockhart.

"Hermione, don't you like Lockhart? My mother is a big fan of his books."

Cho, who was on the side, looked at Hermione curiously.

Afterwards, Hermione told Cho about everything, and Cho didn't doubt her, immediately losing her interest in Lockhart.

At this time, Erwin suddenly spotted the twin brothers. He stepped forward and said hello.

"George, Fred!"

Hearing someone calling them, the twins turned their heads to see that it was their friend and boss, Erwin, and laughed.

Walking up to the three of them, Fred and George winked and gave Erwin a thumbs-up.

"Are you here to buy Lockhart's books too?"

Erwin ignored the weirdness of the two of them and asked directly.

"No, our mum is in line, and Dad and I are helping Ginny with other school supplies," George replied.

"This semester's Defence Against the Dark Arts professor is crazy to ask us to buy Lockhart's full set of books."

Fred, on the side, also complained bitterly.

His family now had four boys studying at Hogwarts, plus a younger sister, Ginny, who was new to school this year.

So many textbooks had a great impact on his family's economic situation.

You know, Lockhart's books didn't come cheap.

Even their little sister Ginny's school uniform was going to be second-hand, not to mention Ron's wand.

At this time, a middle-aged man came over with a girl.

When the twins saw them, they called out to their Dad immediately, and Erwin knew that this was Mr. Weasley.

The twins introduced them to each other.

Mr. Weasley was very friendly.

"Erwin, George, and Fred kept talking about you at home and saying you were welcome to visit anytime. We were expecting you, haha."

"I'm sorry, Mr. Weasley. I've been in France for some business, so I really didn't have time to visit."

Mr. Weasley waved his hand and said it was fine.

It was obvious that he was a very easy-going person.

During the conversation, Erwin suddenly remembered the question that he had not finished.

"George, Fred, I don't think you need to buy so many of Lockhart's books."

Several people looked over curiously, their faces full of doubt.

"Actually, you only need to buy a set of his books. After all, it's impossible for him to teach different grades at the same time. You only need the books to appear in the hands of whoever is about to take class."

After hearing this, the Weasley family suddenly understood.

Yeah. That made sense.

Understanding this, Mr. Weasley rushed into the bookstore to find his wife.

He prayed in his heart that Molly hadn't reached her turn to buy Lockhart's books yet.

And Ginny, who was left behind, also looked at Erwin gratefully.

Maybe now she could get a new school uniform.

Since Cho hadn't bought Lockhart's books yet, several people also walked into the bookstore, preparing to buy a set.

But when they entered the bookstore, they heard a quarrel.

A few people walked over and found Mr. Weasley and a platinum-haired man arguing, with Malfoy standing beside him.

Fred identified the man.

"That's Lucius Malfoy, and he's terrible at dealing with my dad. Dad had been raiding his estate a while ago."

The two quarreled until they finally started to throw punches.

Mr. Weasley really couldn't stand Lucius Malfoy's cynicism, and he swung the cauldron he was holding.

A straight hook hit Malfoy.

Lucius Malfoy was unprepared, and was directly staggered backward, knocking down a bookshelf and causing dozens of books to rain down on their heads.

However, the two of them didn't care and scuffled frantically on the ground.

George and Fred, next to him, were also frantically cheering on their father.

Erwin also watched with relish.

'Do all wizards have a heart for melee combat?'

"Beat him! Mr. Weasley beat him." Erwin couldn't help himself and raised his own suggestion loudly.

Hermione and Cho hurriedly stood far away, trying their best to express that they didn't know this person.

When Mr. Weasley heard someone calling him, he subconsciously complied with the suggestion and punched.

"Argh!"

Lucius Malfoy screamed, his face flushed as he covered his groin, his body curling into a ball.

Fortunately, it was Hagrid who came from out of nowhere, grabbing one in each hand, and picking them up to separate them like chickens.

In the end, Lucius Malfoy stood up in pain, picked up what Mr. Weasley had scattered with his trembling hands, and left after taunting them with a few words.

But what surprised Erwin was that he didn't see any small movements from Lucius Malfoy, nor did he see the diary.

This gave Erwin a little more caution.

Next semester, he couldn't just rely on the plot to predict events.

What happened here soon spread to Lockhart, and with Lockhart's pushy and attention-seeking character, he would definitely come.

Erwin and his companions didn't stop.

They said hello to the Weasleys and left.

In the last two days of summer vacation, Erwin went to Cho and Hermione's houses for dinner, respectively, and made an appointment to go to the train station together.

Originally, Arya wanted to give Erwin something that day, but Erwin refused.

It wasn't that he looked down on Arya, but he was just afraid of attracting the attention of those who were watching.

Recently, Arya's expansion had attracted the attention of some families.

They really wanted to know where so many high-quality potions came from.

After meeting with Hermione and Cho, the three walked into Platform Nine and three-quarters together and got on the train.

Watching the familiar noise and old-fashioned train made Erwin feel a lot better.
